You’re Invited: Snakes Alive!

Join us and ACT Herpetology Association (ACTHA) at the Australian National Botanic Gardens for Snakes Alive!, a much-loved summer exhibition celebrating Australia’s fascinating reptiles through education, conservation and close observation.

From live snake displays and expert talks to hands-on learning for all ages, Snakes Alive! offers a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of our native snakes and the important role they play in healthy ecosystems.

NatureArt Lab is delighted to be involved again this year, showcasing artworks created by participants from our Illustrating Reptiles with Zoe Lawrence workshops. Visitors will also be able to view and purchase our 2026 NatureArt Lab Calendar, with $5 from each calendar donated to the ACT Herpetology Association (ACTHA) in support of reptile education and conservation.

Whether you’re a nature lover, artist, family, or simply curious, we warmly invite you to come along, learn something new, and celebrate Australia’s incredible reptile life.
