Develop your confidence with observational drawing and vibrant coloured inks to create your own bird illustrations with this studio course!

About the course:

Beautiful birds are all around us and make a fantastic subject for developing your creative art skills. Over these three weeks, we will develop your confidence in sketching, pen and coloured inks. This course is suitable for beginners, or if you are simply interested in having fun and being more expressive in your art.

This course will begin with sketching and composition skills – we will learn about the different species of birds, their adaptions and environments, and how we can capture this on the page. The second week will focus on colour – the theory, practice and unique qualities of acrylic inks. In our final week we will produce a beautiful final work, based off studies and learnings from the previous weeks.
