Dates: 16 - 30 May 2025
Day/Time: Fridays 1:30pm - 4:30pm
Location: NatureArt Lab, M16 Artspace, 21 Blaxland Crescent, Griffith, ACT

Course Description:

Not sure where to begin with mixed media art? This course will cover the basics of mixed media art, including collage, paint pens, fine liners, coloured pencils and water colour. It will allow you to get familiar with your unique mark making and explore your choice of mixed media materials in your sketchbook or art journal. You will explore shape, colour, patterns and layering of different materials to create your own mixed media eucalypt inspired pages. The techniques in this course will help build familiarity and confidence in using various materials to create nature inspired art in your own style without an outcome in mind. At the end of this class, you can expect to have completed a number of pages in your sketchbook with different mixed media approaches, and have learnt techniques that you can use to create other nature inspired art.
Note: Collage with fabric and hand stitching are not covered in this class.
