Learn to draw! Try this fun, absolute beginners' drawing class with Taylor Singh.

About the course:

In a letter to his brother Theo, Vincent van Gogh remarked that ‘drawing is the root of everything…’. In relation to botanical art, the skills attained through learning to draw are fundamental, as through drawing an artist learns to see.

In this one-day, intensive drawing workshop participants will try a series of skill-building exercises in perception, as well as learning how to use values and tones with graphite pencils.

Inspired with nature objects, participants will be introduced to some basic skills and tips for drawing. This course is for beginners who are interested in learning to draw, with a focus on nature and graphite pencil drawing. Participants will leave with the ability to confidently begin drawing and can then consider taking further steps with their art skills.
