KIDS' NATURE ADVENTURE and Golden Sun Moth Threatened Species Art Activity Pack
We are passionate about encouraging curiosity, observation, nature journaling and creativity. Some of our favourite things are getting out in nature, asking questions and of course, creating art!
About our holiday nature adventure and threatened species art activities:
We are excited to offer a fun school holiday activity that will keep kids busy and engaged with nature over weekends or on the school holidays.
Spend some time outdoors in nature and create an ephemeral artwork, find a rainbow in nature, meditate or 'bee' curious! Try finding some animal traces or doing a texture rubbing. There are lots more activities included on our activity page as well....
We have included a great set of art activities on the threatened golden sun moth (Synemon plana). This special little moth is local to the ACT, and is critically endangered. It's found in temperate grasslands around our region and there is a preserved habitat that you can visit at Reservoir Hill in Lawson. We have set up a series of drawing activities all about this moth. Learn how to draw the golden sun moth, enjoy our colouring-in page, learn about moth symmetry and discover the differences between butterflies and moths! There is so much here for our little naturalists and artists!
You can receive a pdf copy of this holiday nature adventure and threatened species art activity now.... and we will send this out for your family to enjoy!
Happy nature journaling!
