Our School Holiday Program has been cancelled - but we do have a couple of other options!
It saddens all of the team at NatureArt Lab to advise that our January School Holiday Program at the Australian National Botanic Gardens, and our ‘NaturExplorers! Nature Journaling for Families’ programs have been cancelled. Most other programs run at the ANBG have also been cancelled. This decision has not been made lightly and is due to the current bushfires and associated ongoing smoke haze health risks across Canberra. Our duty of care is to keep all children, families and tutors involved in our programs safe at all times.
We are still offering two summer youth art workshops at our M16 studio in Griffith for older children from 9 – 16 years if you are interested:
- Tuesday 21 January, 10.00am – 2.00pm: Lizards in Ink! We will have live lizards and a workshop on drawing lizards and creating ink illustrations with our tutor and science communicator Maddie.
- Wednesday 22 January, 10.00am – 2.00pm: Butterflies in Watercolour! Using our butterfly reference collection, students will learn about butterflies and create their own illustration with watercolour with our tutor and science communicator Josie.
- Thursday 23 January, 2 FREE sessions at Cooleman Court 10.00am - 11.00am and 11.30am - 12.30pm: Art Science Adventure with NatureArt Lab - Butterflies and Moths.
