Come along to practice nature journalling in the company of like-minded individuals! We will be nature journalling across a range of natural habitats around Canberra with a focus on enjoyment and social networking for our community.  Expect opportunities to share ideas and reflections on your observations and work, as well as a morning tea break (bring a drink and snack along) to connect with one another.

Sessions are offered on the second Sunday of each month (except January).

Upcoming dates — all 10am – 12.00pm:

  • 6 September 2026, Sunday, 10am – 12pm, Lyneham Wetlands
  • 4 October 2026, Sunday, 10am – 12pm, National Arboretum
  • 1 November 2026, Sunday, 10am – 12pm, Dickson Wetlands
  • 6 December 2026, Sunday, 10am – 12pm, Australian National Botanic Gardens

Bookings are essential directly through Ami Amlani by SMS at: 0481 399 891

This is a free event for NatureArt Lab members; or $5.00 for non-members payable on the day to Ami. No tuition is provided as this is a social event. Participants will be advised if events need to be postponed or rescheduled due to inclement weather or other circumstances.

A couple of points to remember:

  • Please bring along your nature journalling kits, wear good walking shoes, sun protection and water.
  • To help us provide safe, enjoyable and well-organised field experiences, we ask that you book early whenever possible (no later than Friday before the session).
  • Please let us know promptly if your plans change. Our sessions have limited places and require significant preparation, so your booking is an important commitment.
  • Please arrive 10–15 minutes before the advertised start time to allow for introductions and safety information.
  • If you are running late, send us a text or call as soon as possible, as we may not be able to delay the group once the session has begun.

Thank you for helping us create exceptional nature experiences for everyone! We look forward to building a wonderful community of nature lovers to learn more about Canberra's natural environment through nature journalling.
