Learn how to paint a sulphur-crested cockatoo with experienced artist and tutor Lesley Wallington!

About the workshop:

Understand the Sulphur Crested Cockatoo's character and anatomy, develop your use of pencil techniques for quick sketches and transfer of a drawing.

Learning outcomes:

Learn basic watercolour techniques, colour mixing, creating light and shade and transparent layering. Create a completed artwork by the end of the day.

Suitable for beginners and intermediate level students.

About the tutor:

Lesley Wallington is a professional award-winning artist and tutor with more than 20 years’ experience. Her journey in water based media through studies at the ANU with Noel Ford has resulted in innovative approaches to her painting with competency across a range of mediums. As a teacher Lesley combines theory and technical advice with straightforward practical instruction on working with watercolour, gouache, pencil, ink and collage. With an in depth knowledge of her medium and extensive experience teaching all age groups and levels, Lesley has the ability to inspire and direct a class while encouraging the unique style of individual students.

Class Refund Policy:  Any changes or cancellations made by NatureArt Lab for any reason are 100% refunded or credited (for use on another course).  Any cancellations made by the purchaser are refunded (or held in credit) for the total amount LESS a $60 administrative processing fee.  Special consideration for waiving the $60 fee for compassionate/ extraordinary circumstances can be granted by NatureArt Lab by writing to info@natureartlab.com.au.
