If you have done the Introduction to Colour Pencil and you're looking for the next step - or you're a practiced colour pencil artist and looking for the next challenge - then come and do our 2 day workshop on drawing and colouring shells.

About the workshop:

This two day workshop (held over consecutive weekends) aims at building up skills from the introduction workshop.  The focus will be n exploring options to create texture, colour variety and fine detail using seashells as subjects.  You can either bring your own subjects (or reference photos) or we can happily provide these for you.  Please ensure you are not bringing any reference photos which are subject to copyright.

The workshop will be exploring further how stylus and ink can be used in combination with colour pencil.  Additional tips and techniques will be discussed during the course.

Dates: 13th and 20th August 2022 (2 x 1 day sessions held over consecutive weekends)

Days/Times: Saturday 9.30pm - 4.30pm

Location: NatureArt Lab Studio, M16 Artspace, 21 Blaxland Crescent, Griffith 

Amenities:  There is a cafe and supermarket within a short walk as well as free onsite parking.

    Pre-requisites/experience: Suitable for all students who have either completed the Introduction to Colour Pencil course or with commensurate experience who wish to develop their colour pencil drawing skills.

    Annette Dahler is an established artist based in Canberra who has a passion for nature-inspired art and a depth of expertise with the use of colour pencils for natural history art.

    Refund Policy:  Any changes or cancellations made by NatureArt Lab for any reason are 100% refunded or credited (for use on another course).  Any cancellations made by the purchaser are refunded (or held in credit) for the total amount LESS a $60 administrative processing fee.  Special consideration for waiving the $60 fee for compassionate/ extraordinary circumstances can be granted by NatureArt Lab by writing to

Any additional COVID-19 related restrictions and/or requirements will be conveyed by email prior to the course/workshop.  This policy will be reviewed and amended as ACT Government policy is changed and these changes will also be conveyed to students prior to commencement.
