Workshop details:

Learn how to observe and engage with nature in a different way and join me for an introductory two-day workshop. Understand the benefits of connecting with nature, the key elements of being a naturalist and learn more about the environment around you. Try nature journaling with the use of a visual art diary, creating sketches, notes and impressions of everything around you in nature. We will spend the morning at the Queensland Museum learning about nature journaling, as well as tips on basic drawing and observation skills, and then spend time practising key concepts in the field at Southbank parkland. On Sunday we will visit the Brisbane Botanic Gardens at Mt Coot-tha for an afternoon of field sketching.

Create a personal record of your nature experiences around Brisbane, and wherever you are in the world.

Materials: A materials list will be sent to all participants prior to the workshop.  Please bring suitable walking shoes and outdoor clothing for our field trip.
