Watercolour sketching is a relaxed and vibrant practice through which you are able to capture the exuberance and beauty of the natural world. In this workshop you will learn how to get the best out of your favourite water-based mediums, creating colourful and lively images of the natural world. In this course you will learn about materials and how to use them, some basic colour theory to give you confidence and get you started and techniques for lively brushwork and paint effects.

By the end of the three weeks you will have filled several pages of your sketchbook and be using your paints and brushes with confidence. You will be equipped to continue this practice, documenting the world around you with vibrant and energetic images.
This course will suit complete beginners, those with some watercolour experience and journalers looking to advance their skills and create free-flowing journal entries. Even if you have already completed a watercolour sketching course, you will be able to further your knowledge and experience of this medium and go to the next level.
