Take some time to get to know Canberra’s amazing native flora using nature journaling with Julia Landford, Founding Director of NatureArt Lab.

Nature journaling teaches you how to observe more closely, understand form and structure of plants and this workshop you will learn how to draw and write about your observations. Meet a few of Canberra’s beautiful native flora including banksias. Take home your very own nature journal and begin a new journey that is personally rewarding, satisfying for your mental health and wellbeing, as well as promoting advocacy for nature.

The session will enable participants to look more closely at the plant species of Canberra, learn about the ecology of these locations and why they are important.

A visual art diary and an ink pen will be included; please bring along your own graphite pencils, colour pencils. Watercolours are optional.
