NatureArt Lab offers participants the opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people and immerse themselves in art inspired by nature. Select a series of courses to suit your interests, and consider developing your foundation skills through a better understanding of colour theory, drawing skills or use of water-based mediums such as watercolour or gouache. Our team of experienced tutors will support your creative learning journey with expert instruction and guidance in a fully equipped art-science space.
Butterflies, Bugs & Beetles - A National Science Week Event - Ages 11-18 years - Sunday August 11
Join NatureArt Lab for our exciting Science Week art event ... Butterflies, Bugs and Beetles!
Experience hands-on examination of insects with microscopes and learn about insect anatomy and sketching techniques, then use drawing ink and watercolour to create a beautiful illustration of an insect of your choice!
Award-winning artist and our Kids Program Manager Josie Cosgrove will be instructing the class.
Suitable for students aged from 11-16 years who are keen to develop their scientific observation skills and drawing capabilities. All materials and tuition included. Morning and afternoon tea will be provided.
