- Dates: 18 February 2024
- Days/Times: Saturday 9.30am - 3.30pm
- Venue: NatureArt Lab Studio, 21 Blaxland Crescent, Griffith, Canberra
Course Description
A travel nature journal is also a wonderful way to develop a more focused and intimate understanding of the natural places you have visited and enjoyed. It promotes a thoughtful and lasting response to a wonderful experience.
Whether you are journaling a weekend trip to the coast or the visit-of-a-lifetime to the Galapagos Islands and the Amazon, this one-day workshop will help both beginners and more experienced journalers to take their creative pass time to the next level.
Rather than collecting hundreds or photos you may never look at again, you will learn how to create a wonderfully visual memento of a special experience that will give you and your loved ones years of pleasure. You’ll be shown different ways to document and illustrate travels and start to work on your own journal full of highly personal insights into some of your favourite places.
You may even be on the path to creating a significant contribution as a citizen scientist to the growing knowledge base of the world’s natural spaces.
Participants will be introduced to different styles of journal and run through a series of fun exercises to help hone their observational skills and highlight their own particular focus. By the end of the workshop you will have all the skills you need to begin creating a lasting pictorial memento of some of your priceless travel experiences.
