Nature Art Lab
NatureArt Lab offers participants the opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people and immerse themselves in art inspired by nature. Select a series of courses to suit your interests, and consider developing your foundation skills through a better understanding of colour theory, drawing skills or use of water-based mediums such as watercolour or gouache. Our team of experienced tutors will support your creative learning journey with expert instruction and guidance in a fully equipped art-science space.
Explore NatureArt 9-12yo School Holiday Program - October 2018
This program is suitable for children aged from 9-12 years. All art materials are provided. A healthy afternoon tea is included.
NatureArt Lab offers a high quality educational art program for children, run by experienced science communicators and artists.
'Explore NatureArt' provides content to support younger children aged 9-12 years. Discover and learn about nature through observation, drawing, painting, nature journaling and craft. Get to know the birds, insects, marsupials, reptiles and the unique Australian plant communities featured in the Gardens.
We aim to support enquiry-based learning, outdoor activities, skills for life and an emphasis on the art-science interface!
All art materials are provided and healthy refreshments are included.
Dates: 8 - 12 October 2018
Afternoon sessions 1.00pm - 4.30pm
Bookings are essential by 28 September (last minute bookings are not possible); only 15 places per session.
Cost - $46 - $70 per session depending on the number of sessions.
($230 for 5 sessions; $200 for 4 sessions; $150 for 3 sessions; $120 for 2 sessions; $70 for 1 session). Please provide the name and age of your child, and confirm which days you are booking. Please also advise if there are any special requirements for your child.
