Floriade 2024 – Art in Bloom, NatureArt Lab Workshops

Floriade represents Canberra’s annual showcase of colourful Spring floral displays, alongside cultural activities and events with an opportunity for people to relax, enjoy and experience the beauty of nature. NatureArt Lab is contributing to this experience by offering a series of art activities inspired by the colourful flower displays which are suitable for all levels of experience.

•  Delicate Tulips: Create a tulip painting with transparent watercolours - with Fiona Boxall

Through these hands-on creative art programs, we offer Floriade visitors an immersive art experience which captures the rich colours and whimsical nature of flowers using several mediums.

Featuring members of our team of professional NatureArt Lab tutors – Julia Landford, Karen Holloway, Fiona Boxall, Alison Oberg and Cristy Froehlich - these workshops will provide an opportunity to learn something new and take a closer look at flowers in the Floriade display.

Each workshop will cover a two-hour timeframe to ensure participants have an enriching artistic experience. Costs per person include materials, tuition and management costs.
