STUDIO COURSE: LINOCUT PRINTING - NATIVE FLOWERS, 12 October - 26 October 2020 - Beginners to Intermediate students
Learn how to create stunning native flower prints using linocut printing techniques with Lesley Wallington!
About the artist:
Lesley Wallington is a professional artist and tutor. She has followed her journey in water based media through studies at the ANU and has collected a series of awards for her unique and innovative paintings. As a teacher Lesley combines theory and technical advice with straightforward practical instruction on working with watercolour, gouache, pencil, ink, collage and printmaking. With an in depth knowledge of her medium and extensive experience teaching all age groups and levels, Lesley has the ability to inspire and direct a class while encouraging the unique style of individual students.
About the workshop:
This three week course will take students step by step through the process of creating a simple block print from their own original drawing. Carving techniques, inking and rolling will be explained as well as how to hand colour the finished print. No experience is necessary to join this class.

Suitable for all levels of experience. All materials will be provided for this course.
Students are requested to bring their own food and drinks for the workshop duration. Hand hygiene and personal distancing rules will apply for the workshop.
