This exclusive, custom-designed nature tour by NatureArt Lab and Adventure Alternative Borneo (AAB) in 2021 is for nature artists, photographers and naturalists to experience one of the region's best wildlife destinations - Sabah in Malaysian Borneo.
Experience the best of unspoilt nature and see the iconic wildlife of Borneo including Orang-utans, Proboscis Monkeys, Pygmy Elephants and dozens of other mammal species in their natural habitat; watch the giant hornbills and listen to them calling across the forests, and see iridescent butterflies fluttering along river corridors. Explore Sabah’s unique vegetation including many species of fascinating pitcher plants, giant Rafflesia flowers, sprays of ferns and colourful orchids sprouting from towering rainforest trees. Insect life is prolific and includes the spectacular Rajah Brooke’s Birdwing among hundreds of other butterfly species, fascinating beetles, praying mantids and katydids.

Accommodation includes comfortable high-end lodges on a twin share basis.
Artists can enjoy relaxed sketching and afternoon painting workshops at each of our destinations. Photographers will have opportunities for photo editing and mini-workshops throughout the tour, with support from experienced nature photographer and scientist Damien Esquerre. Partners and accompanying friends will be equally catered for throughout the trip. Participants may also have the opportunity to support a local conservation program during the visit - details to be confirmed.
