Nature Art Lab
NatureArt Lab offers participants the opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people and immerse themselves in art inspired by nature. Select a series of courses to suit your interests, and consider developing your foundation skills through a better understanding of colour theory, drawing skills or use of water-based mediums such as watercolour or gouache. Our team of experienced tutors will support your creative learning journey with expert instruction and guidance in a fully equipped art-science space.
NatureArt in Borneo Exhibition
Join us for an exhibition of original artworks and photographs by participants in the 2018 'NatureArt in Borneo' trip. In April 2018, NatureArt Lab took a group of 12 people to see the flora and fauna of Sabah, Borneo. Our guides were David Andrew - Lonely Planet Borneo author - and Peter Marsack - professional illustrator and NatureArt Lab tutor, along with Alan Landford - entomologist and naturalist.
Experience the spectacular wildlife of Borneo through the eyes of the artists and photographers who journeyed to several beautiful and remote destinations in Sabah. Internationally renowned for its animal and plant attractions, Sabah is famous for its Orangutans, Proboscis monkeys, Pygmy elephants and dozens of other mammal species; amazing birdlife, incredible insects and unique vegetation including the giant Rafflesia flowers.
We will also launch our next two 2019 NatureArt in Borneo field trips: artists and naturalists trip from 9 - 20 April, and photographers and naturalists from 3 - 14 May 2019. Details are to be announced at the exhibition opening night.
