(NEW!) Studio Art Course : PAINTING WITH WATERCOLOUR THREE - 19 August to 9 September 2022 (Intermediate Level II)
If you have completed our Watercolour ONE and Watercolour TWO foundation courses, then you are ready to take your watercolour painting to the next level!
About the course:
This course continues the exploration of painting with watercolour looking at harmony in colour and combination of techniques. Students will complete a series of flower exercises and projects using monochromatic, complementary and analogous colour schemes. We explore mushrooms and leaf litter, iridescence of shells and seaweed, complete a nature table in 1-point perspective with found objects and learn the approach of deliberate practice requiring focussed attention to painting conducted with the specific goal of improving performance. Each week you will learn a new skill and technique to be added to your 'toolbox' for use with your watercolour art practice.
At the end of this course, students will have an enhanced ability to add texture to their paintings and understand how underpainting (the 'soul' layer) can make their subject 'pop' off the page.
Dates: 19 August to 9 September 2022
Day/Time: Friday mornings 9.30am to 12.30pm
Venue: NatureArt Lab, M16 Workspace, 21 Blaxland Crescent, Griffith, ACT
