Studio Art Workshop: MIXED MEDIA - SHELLS WITH WATERCOLOUR ON GESSO : 18 June 2022 (Beginners to Advanced)
Learn how to paint shells with watercolour on gesso with experienced artist and tutor Lesley Wallington!
About the workshop:
This workshop introduces the versatile technique of painting with watercolour on white gesso.
A gesso surface is both absorbent and repellent and allows colour to be applied and lifted alternatively. The form emerges out of the page as we build up rich layers of colour. Texture and pattern can be incorporated into the layers of gesso to enhance the effect of the finished work.
Date: 18 June 2022
Day/Times: Saturday, 9.30am - 4.30pm
Venue: NatureArt Lab, M16 Artspace, 21 Blaxland Crescent, Griffith, ACT
